40ft and 45ft or Longer
The units are available in 40ft, 45ft and longer to special order this giving them the ability to carry 6 large 4X4, tall vehicles or sports utilities. The decks are raised and lowered hydraulically to load and discharge vehicles at Factory or retail premises.

Lower cost delivery
By road, rail or sea, AutoRack is the complete intermodal delivery option. By road, plentiful chassis fleets compete to deliver your AutoRack to any destination without fuss.

Likewise by rail, regular flat car, skeletal wagons or double-stack rail cars are there to serve you taking as many as 12 vehicles per rail car.

At sea AutoRack can now catch daily Lo-Lo sailings to any container port.

Land and storage efficiency
Land can be freed up for other uses. Smaller shipping consignments of cars means smaller stocks and less land be it at factory, port or terminal.

But even if stocks do need to be built up, land requirement is massively reduced. AutoRack containers can be close stacked 5 or six high enabling storage of 4000 vehicles per acre compared to just 220 vehicles on the ground.

More than a car transporter
Five AutoRack fold and nest into a 40ft or 45ft ISO module for economical transport and storage.

Besides cars, the AutoRack can carry lightweight distributed cargo such as pipes or timber transported on the cargo decks.

Just in time delivery
Straight off the production line and onto the AutoRack is a practical ideal. No longer need cars be stocked in numbers large enough to make a train, or sea going vessel an economic proposition. The potential inventory cost saving alone is very substantial.

Handling damage reduction
Each time an automobile is moved from one transport mode or location to another, it risks being damaged. It is estimated that a five-fold reduction in interchanges can be achieved when shipping vehicles by AutoRack. Once loaded on the AutoRack container no further car movement is needed. This brings the proven benefits of containerisation of very low cargo damage.

Safer storage
Theft and vandalism can be substantially reduced by being able to limit access to cars stowed on AutoRack. When close stacked the cars form a security block.

Transhipment advantages
Transshipment of vehicles on Ro-Ro vessels can be a logistical nightmare - not so for AutoRack containers. Transshipment is part of any normal container operation, and so too for AutoRack shipments, large or small. If it is one AutoRack consignment or 100, any container port can handle it.

Stacking units to store or move to new destination
Once the units have been unloaded they can be moved 5 in a stack back to original port or new destination, this stack is equivalent to a 9.6" high cube container.
